Information and Application Form for Holiday Care for Children in the Kindergarten to Grade 5 inclusive
Dear Parents
As from the start of 2002 the DSJ has arranged a Holiday Care Programme for children from Kindergarten to Grade 5. The School's excellent facilities enable us to arrange a variety of activities during the day like games on the playground equipment or handicrafts in the classroom. The qualified personnel will create a German environment that will provide an opportunity for children, especially those whose mother tongue is not German, to nurture and improve the German language. The offer of holiday care includes both a full day and a half-day care programme on working days during the Easter, Winter and October holiday periods.
- The full day programme runs from 7:30 to 17:30. Apart from the interesting care programme we offer lunch and cold drinks.
- The half-day programme also starts at 7:30 and ends at 13:30. Lunch and cold drinks will be included.
- The obligatory application form for holiday care must be handed in to Mrs Bainbridge not later than two weeks prior to the start of the respective holiday period.
In order to establish as much continuity as possible in the work, it is necessary that you book at least five consecutive days. Fees for the entire period of a booking must be paid in advance (in cash at the office or by debit order). Further information is obtainable from the office or from Mrs Bökamp, the After Care and Holiday Care Programme Coordinator.
Please note the following:
- Successful participation in the Holiday Care programme is only possible by regular attendance. We therefore have to ask you, the child's parent or legal guardian, to notify the organiser in writing or per telephone if your child is ill, absent, or will be picked up before closing time. This is also absolutely essential for security reasons.
- Please ensure that your child is picked up in good time and definitely not later than 17:30. The School cannot undertake any responsibility for or supervision of the children after 17:30. After 17:30 these responsibilities are exclusively those of the parents/legal guardians.
- Due to negative experience we unfortunately have to cancel Holiday Care for the child without further notice should a child be repeatedly picked up later than the agreed times. In that case, the fees paid in advance are not refundable.
- The School may unilaterally cancel the offer of a Holiday Care programme for economic, disciplinary (e.g. gross violation of the rules of the School) or other reasons.
If you are interested in taking advantage of this offer, please complete the enrolment form and hand it in to Mrs. Bainbridge at the office.
