NSec – New Secondary School
In the last 20 years the Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg has established itself as an integrated bilingual and bicultural school, which implemented the German cultural policy to support the people and culture of the host country. The New Secondary School caters especially for children from disadvantaged communities. Every Saturday more than 80 learners from more than 35 different Soweto primary schools are taught at the DSJ. Some of them are then taken up into a new grade 5.
Bilingual tuition in mixed classes, an interesting integration concept which combines the diversity of South African society with German culture, cooperation with many partner schools, and striving for a high academic standard have become a hallmark of the Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg.
