Secondary School (Grades 7 - 9)
In the German home language stream (DaM), learners from Grade 5 to Grade 9 follow the curriculum of Gymnasiums in Baden-Württemberg. Up to and including Grade 9, subjects are generally taught in German. In some subjects, however, learners are divided into different courses and are taught with learners from the English-speaking stream. These subjects are then taught in both German and English.
Afrikaans, Zulu and French are offered as a third additional language. Computer- and Business Studies are also offered to those learners entering the NSC stream.
A student exchange programme with the Rupert-Ness-Gymnasium in Wangen/Allgäu takes place during Grade 9. For two weeks 15 selected Grade 9 learners are guests of host families in Wangen and attend school there. A visit by learners from Wangen to South Africa takes place in October.
