Infrastructure
The Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg is situated on the northern periphery of the Johannesburg city centre. Surrounded mostly by quiet, green suburbs, it covers almost eight hectares. The school can easily be reached along a network of main arteries and highways from the northern, western, eastern and southern suburbs.
Besides the main building that consists of several wings, the school includes an open and covered sports complex; a large swimming pool with a stand; a separate new building for the kindergarten and pre-school; a workshop and art centre, two new IT centres, a well-equipped library with an internet café; a listeners' haven for young learners; an amphitheatre; and two secure, spacious parking areas.
